Muay Thai

The art of eight limbs, a kicking discipline using hands, legs, knees, and elbows. Our system provides stress relief, strength, cardio-vascular fitness, and self-defence. The class provides the students with the tools they need for the ring, and conditioning of a fighter, even if they never want to compete.

We offer a range of Muay Thai classes that is completely suitable for all adults, regardless of age, gender or skill. Our instructors focus on building a strong fundamental foundation as well as pushing the more advanced students to excel and evolve as fast as possible.

Beginner /family classes focus primarily stance, footwork, basic punches, kicks, knees and elbows and the defences to these techniques. Consistently attending class will get you fit in no time, you’ll be amazed as the pounds fly off faster than the kicks and punches thrown each session.New beginners and family members are encouraged to attend these classes until they have learnt the fundamentals and can progress.

As you get more advanced, so too do the classes. The intensity is upped, and so too is the complexity of the techniques. We have intermediate classes to help the transition to advanced/fighters training.

  • Handwraps

  • Mouthguard (only if interested in sparring)

  • Shinguards

MMA BEGINNERS CLASS

Our Mixed Martial Arts classes incorporates a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills, including Jiu Jitsu, boxing, Muay Thai, and wrestling. Students will learn take-down attack and defence, correct striking techniques with knees and hands, and ground fighting. Our conditioning drills will equip students with the cardio, speed, and stamina required for MMA

The ( No Gi) MMA class focuses on learning and applying fundamental techniques of Mixed Martial Arts. Students practice various drills /techniques/takedowns/striking/ground and pound / conditioning / using submission wrestling,BJJ,Boxing,Muay Thai styles. The skill level is for complete beginners to intermediate students.

These days, the training is more accessible than ever.  You can enjoy the benefits of mixed martial arts, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing training just like the pros without ever having to fight

KIDS TRAINING 6-12 yrs

A child with discipline, self-confidence, self-control, and respect for others is better equipped to excel in all areas of his/her life. Our Kids Kickboxing classes will teach all of these concepts with training that is both fun and educational. Your child will learn throws,sweeps, Muay Thai,Kickboxing and boxing in a safe, controlled environment. There is a belt ranking system in place to showcase each student’s skill level and accomplishment in our program. Yes, we do teach children fighting skills but our students have an understanding of when it is appropriate to use these skills.

We teach the use of bags,pads and partner/teamwork to help our students develop the skills needed to succeed.

Our young members are encouraged to make their way up a series of levels / grades, with the base level being White Belt, through ten levels, finally reaching a Dan grade at black belt, which is equivalent, if you like, to a degree level in kickboxing.

In our experience, every parent has a different reason for bringing their children to the gym but we cater for all of them.

BOOTCAMP

Our bootcamp classes are designed to accommodate all levels of fitness. Whether you are just trying something new or have been training for years .

Boot camp workouts can vary but generally include a fairly intense mix of strength training boxercise and aerobic elements. Bags,pads ,medicine balls,steppers and various equipment is used.

In most cases, you can expect to do stretching, bodyweight exercises, pushups, lunges and crunches, as well as drills and boxercise. In essence, a boot camp workout is a type of interval training — bursts of intense activity alternated with intervals of lighter activity.

Everyone is welcome from 13 yrs upwards.

Bag Gloves are provided.

YOGA /Ashtanga style

There are many forms of yoga, but ashtanga is one of the most physical. It involves a set series of movements – the same every time – which takes around an hour to complete. You’re either holding a posture for five deep breaths, or moving into the next one.

There are a lot of postures to get through, and it’s quite demanding.You’re using all your muscles, including ones you don’t even realise you’ve got. It’s a great way to keep fit.

it’s actually more important to maintain the breath than the postures themselves. The spiritual side of yoga can be overemphasised and can put people off, but yoga helps clear your mind and heal your body.
